A Hezbollah military official was seriously injured, and another person who was with him was injured, after a car was targeted by a drone in the city of Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, on Thursday, according to a security source.
The Lebanese security source said that the attack was “Israeli”, as the car was targeted near the statue of Hassan Kamel Al-Sabah at the entrance to the city of Nabatieh.
Sky News Arabia sources explained that Hezbollah’s military official, Abbas Al-Debs, nicknamed “Hajj Abdullah,” was the target of the attack, and was seriously injured.
Our sources monitored the flight of drones believed to be Israeli in the skies over Nabatieh, following the incident.
The Lebanese Hezbollah has entered the conflict between Israel and Hamas since last October.
The party and the Israeli army have been exchanging attacks on a daily basis over the past months, across the border between Lebanon and Israel.
It is noteworthy that the city of Nabatieh is relatively far from Lebanon’s border with Israel, and has so far remained untouched by the escalation between Hezbollah and the Israeli army since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip.
