Hezbollah: There is no discussion before stopping the aggression against Gaza
A member of the Hezbollah parliamentary bloc, “Loyalty to the Resistance,” MP Hassan Fadlallah, said, “We have seen the enemy in recent days continuing its attacks on southern Lebanese villages and towns, or on some sites in Syria, through which it wants to achieve two things. First, to annex Harming people and the resistance, thinking that in this way he could push the resistance to abandon its options, whether in protecting the south and Lebanon, or in supporting the resistance in Gaza. The second thing is to exert pressure, because while he carries out these attacks and commits what he commits, He sends international envoys and exerts political pressure in order to force a retreat from the resistance or establish new equations.”
Fadlallah pointed out that “we are dealing with this stage with the highest levels of precision, wisdom, and courage. Therefore, the resistance responds appropriately to every attack, and when civilians are targeted, the resistance has its responses, and no attack on a village, house, region, or civilian passes without it receiving an appropriate response.” This is a commitment by the resistance that it undertakes in order to impose the protection equation.”
He stressed that “there will not be any discussion about the situation in the south and Lebanon before the aggression against Gaza stops, and any future discussion related to the south, whether north of the Litani or south of the Litani, stems from the Lebanese interest, priority and will, which is what the Lebanese determine through understanding and consensus on the Lebanese interest.” “, stressing, “We will not accept any dictates or conditions, whatever they may be. They tried in 2006 and were unable, and today also we will not enable the enemy to obtain any reward or gain through politics, as he is defeated, despite the many words of his leaders in the media.”
A meeting in Italy to support the Lebanese army
The Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, went to Italy to participate in a meeting organized by the Italian authorities, to discuss ways to support the military institution to confront the current exceptional circumstances, with the participation of the commanders of the armies of Spain, Germany, Britain and France.
This comes at a time when Lebanon calls on the international community to assist the military establishment in order to carry out its duty and maintain security and stability in the country and on the Lebanese borders.
Also, the issue of supporting the army is at the heart of the proposed diplomatic solutions, especially the French ones, for a ceasefire on the southern Lebanon front, and the deployment of a larger number of elements on the border, to push Hezbollah’s withdrawal.
