Hezbollah claimed responsibility on Tuesday for the October 19 attack on Netanyahu’s private home in Caesarea.
Israel’s public broadcaster, KAN, said: “A Hezbollah drone directly and accurately hit Netanyahu’s bedroom window.”
KAN said Israeli military censorship allowed the media to reveal that the attack had damaged the prime minister’s residence.
One image, previously banned from publication by military censors, shows the damage done by the drone to the house.
Israeli media released photos of the house after the attack. The drone reportedly exploded at Netanyahu’s bedroom window, damaging the garden and inside the house.
“The Islamic Resistance claims responsibility for the Caesarea operation and targets Netanyahu’s house,” said the head of Hezbollah’s media office, Mohammad Afif, who said there would be no talks while fighting continued with Israel.
Netanyahu’s office said the prime minister and his family were not at the site at the time of the attack.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Yossi Shelly, director general of Netanyahu’s office, visited the Caesarea residence with other officials on Sunday to assess the damage caused by the attack.
The drone was monitored by an Israeli Apache helicopter, which indicated the infiltration from Lebanon up until the moment of impact but did not stop the attack.
