The Hezbollah resistance movement confronted an Israeli infantry force this Wednesday that was trying to invade towns in southern Lebanon and forced it to withdraw, an action that was confirmed by the Israeli army, which speaks of casualties among its ranks.
The occupation soldiers tried to enter Al-Adayseh, according to the Al-Mayadeen correspondent, but when they reached the barbed wire, they fell into a narrow ambush.
On Wednesday morning, the Islamic Resistance attacked a large infantry force in the Miskvam settlement with missiles and artillery.
Minutes later, the Israelis attacked a gathering of enemy forces in the Shtola settlement with two Burkan missiles, killing an unknown number of soldiers.
In southern Lebanon, wounded Israeli occupation soldiers are transported in Israeli helicopters, according to the Unews media.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), for its part, reported heavy fighting in southern Lebanon and advised residents of the area to avoid traveling south of the Litani River.
“An urgent warning to the residents of southern Lebanon: intense fighting is taking place in southern Lebanon, with elements of the (Lebanese Shiite movement) Hezbollah taking advantage of the civilian environment and using civilians as human shields for their attacks. For your personal safety, we ask you not to travel on transportation from the area north of the Litani River to the south,” IDF Arabic spokesman Avihai Edri said on the X social network.
Earlier, Hezbollah announced that it had clashed with Israeli Army infantry near the southern town of Odaisseh, the first time since Israel announced a ground operation in Lebanon.
Since October 8, 2023, Hezbollah began launching suicide missiles and drones towards communities in northern Israel as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinian Hamas movement, after armed aggression by Israel.
