Hezbollah announced today, Saturday, that it had caused deaths and injuries among the ranks of occupation soldiers, while Israeli Army Radio reported that two people had been injured in the explosion of a drone that infiltrated from Lebanon towards Margaliot in the Upper Galilee.
Hezbollah said in a brief statement, “We targeted with a missile a site where Israeli occupation soldiers were holed up in Birkat Risha, which led to deaths and injuries.”
For its part, Israeli Army Radio reported that two people were injured in the explosion of a drone that infiltrated from Lebanon towards the town of Margaliot in the Upper Galilee.
The occupation army said that air defenses intercepted a drone launched from Lebanese territory towards the Upper Galilee.
Last night, the Israeli Air Force attacked sites it said belonged to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
The occupation army spokesman said that the raids came in response to the launching of about 13 rockets and shells from southern Lebanon “towards the Israeli areas on the other side of the border in the Upper Galilee, specifically at Kiryat Shmona in the Hula Plain.”
Yesterday, Friday, Israel threatened to resort to the military option in order to remove Hezbollah from the border area, “if the diplomatic option fails.”
Since the eighth of last October, Israel, on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, on the other hand, have exchanged intermittent bombardments, leaving dead and wounded on both sides of the border.
These confrontations come in the wake of the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza, which led to the fall of about 19,000 martyrs, most of whom were women and children.
In the same context, the occupied Syrian Golan came under fire from the Syrian side last night.
The Israeli army said that a missile landed in an open, uninhabited area in the occupied Golan.
