Samar Al-Yasser, director of the US refugee relief agency Anera in the Middle East, told the BBC: “We are in a huge humanitarian crisis.”
He says Lebanon – already reeling from an economic crisis – is “unprepared” for a crisis of this magnitude, and that strikes have hit key suppliers, including a bedding factory.

The statement said that nine of the hospital’s medical and nursing staff were injured, and most of the rest were evacuated after a “warning” was given.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said the hospital grounds were “under the control of the Israeli military.”
