Hey Lo! Uproar ‘Money Rain’ on US Toll Roads, Residents Who Take Must Return

Jakarta

Inhabitant California, the United States was shocked by the ‘rain of money’ which triggered traffic jams on toll roads. The money that had been collected by the residents had to be returned if they did not want to be ensnared by criminal charges.

Reported from NBC News, Sunday (11/21/2021) this money rain came from an armored truck. That truck dropped a lot of money on the Carlsbad motorway, California. This rain of money also caused a huge traffic jam when motorists got out of their vehicles to collect money.

Just before 9:15 a.m. Friday (11/19) local time, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) began receiving 911 calls about cash spread across the Interstate 5 area near Cannon Road.

The CHP and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said that several people fled their cars in pursuit of the money. Both agencies are investigating the incident.

“Many motorists return their money directly to officers, but there are motorists who were seen driving from the scene with stolen money,” they said in a joint press release.

“CHP would like to thank motorists for returning money to their local CHP offices and reminding the public to do the right thing and return any money they find on the freeway.”

Authorities said videos and photos were posted on social media showing the people’s faces and the license plate numbers of the cars. The agency released several photos showing people taking the money.
