From the new governor to the corona crisis. “We welcome a strengthening of the corona measures, if only to support the hospital staff physically and mentally.” That says Jeroen Ruysen, paramedical director of the Sint-Franciscus hospital in Heusden-Zolder.
Three staff members there are infected with the corona virus and are in quarantine. The municipality of Heusden-Zolder is experiencing an increase in new corona infections, and the number of new cases in neighboring municipalities of Houthalen-Helchteren and Beringen is also rising slightly. In the hospital, they are concerned about a second corona wave. The personnel is in fact still recovering from the first corona peak.
