“At the moment, business tax revenues are around 337,000 euros, but the budget for 2020 was 960,000 euros,” said Mayor Wolfgang Hagl (UWG).
As Chamberlain Alexandra Rehm explains, the administration has once again made the items in the budget. “We looked at where we can increase revenue and reduce costs,” she said. Still, a gap remains. As Mayor Hagl explained, the Free State has announced that it will compensate for the loss: “The average of the last three years is used as the basis for business tax.” Therefore, the municipality expects to reach at least 600,000 euros as a budget. “However, until the income from the trade tax compensation is available in mid-December, the community needs a cash loan for short-term bridging,” said Hagl. So far, 400,000 euros have been budgeted, with a view to the corona crisis, the community wants to increase the cash loan to 760000 euros.
Volker Riehm (SPD) was critical of the financial development in the community. “Why have we withdrawn so much reserves in recent years?” He asked. As a result, the new loans mean that the debt will rise from just under 17 euros per inhabitant in 2019 to a good 342 euros per inhabitant for 2020. Chamberlain Rehm referred to the large investments made by the community in recent years: “Above all, the children’s home had an impact here.” Riehm repeated his criticism: “So we now have no more buffer? There is no more euro in it for the fire brigade? “He added:” The debt level has been gradually falling over seven years and is now jumping up. “As Mayor Hagl confirmed,” there is currently nothing. But something has arisen for it. “Johannes Salvermoser (SPD ) declared: “The money is not gone, we have invested.”
Albert Hiereth (Bürgergemeinschaft Hettenshausen) discussed the development of income tax. “It now says that it should be 300,000 euros less.” As Kämmerin Rehm explained, this is an estimate. The new approach is therefore one million euros for 2020.
The panel finally unanimously approved the supplementary budget. The municipal council also endorsed the modified investment program until 2023.PK
