Author of a financially catastrophic offseason, Dennis Schröder must somehow bounce back after this fiasco. A famous NBA analyst recently paid the German a big compliment, at least in theory. Because we are not sure that the player is really the big winner …
Times are tough for Dennis Schröder. Rise of the league after crashing at the free agency, the leader ended up signing a one-year lease in Boston, for a ridiculous amount (less than six million). We are far from the 84 million he could have touched the Lakers … And the situation is not getting better for him, since we would be close to a new public humiliation for the old Hawk.
However, some observers are trying their best to find some positives in all of this. In this case, the analyst Bobby Marks brought a point of view at least… interesting, since it is not Schröder himself who will rejoice. Rather, this is great news for Bean Town, as the team have reportedly recruited a top player for a pittance. In a nutshell:
Dennis Schroder on the $5.9M tax ML is the best bargain of the 2021 offseason.
Certainly the market dictated all of this but the Celtics got a steal at that price.
