Chairman of the Shura Council of the Ummat Party Amien Rais offending the moment President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) flicked and scolded the minister. Amien said Jokowi was scolding himself.
“So I saw yesterday that Jokowi was angry twice, first in Jakarta, the second in Bali. He was irritated, he was angry, then he insulted some of his ministers. Then he insulted other high-ranking officials without realizing what was happening. choose he’s the minister,” said Amien Rais through a video uploaded to the Amien Rais Official YouTube account with the title ‘JOKOWI LUHUT DUET WE DON’T NEED AGAIN’, Saturday (2/4/2022).
Amien admitted that he was surprised that Jokowi blasphemed the minister he had chosen himself. According to him, the selection of ministers must go through very mature considerations.
“So why was he chosen by himself, he was blasphemed by himself. This is a sixth grade elementary school student smiling. How can a leader appoint his assistants, that’s the minister, the process has been thought through, yes, it’s the same as his goal of looking for the same sex,” said Amen.
“So if later it turns out that the ministers… can’t carry out their duties and so on, so there is a default in terms of words, maybe it’s because of the lurah,” continued Amien.
The former chairman of the MPR also mentioned that officials always hand it over to the president when asked about it reshuffle. According to Amien, people in the presidential circle have the right to propose ministerial criteria.
“In our country, there is a strange way of thinking, yes, so every time there is reshuffle will be held, then all of that is the president’s prerogative, it’s already in the pocket of the president, who only knows God and the president, it’s as if who the president is,” he said.
“I have never heard an office ask a reporter to say‘ even though the president has a prerogative, I ask that the elected first class quality‘,” continued Amin.
Amien said that leaders need to get input regarding ministerial criteria, so that the ministers chosen are truly appropriate according to their expertise.
“So that the chosen one first class quality, don’t be tinned, don’t be stupid. So please according to the skill, then track recordhis views and so on. But but everyone says it’s all up to the president,” he said.
Amien then said that if Jokowi is angry with his ministers, it means that Jokowi is scolding himself. Because the minister who was scolded was his choice.
“Well, when the President is angry, he’s actually scolding himself,” he said.
