It is known, today Alex visited the AGO to attend the examination as a witness. However, Soesilo said he was disappointed because, after being questioned, Alex was immediately identified as a suspect and detained.
“This was examined by the witness, immediately named a suspect and detained within a few hours, I don’t understand the method used,” said Soesilo.
Soesilo admitted that he was still considering legal steps whether to file a pretrial application or not. He further revealed that this incident is of concern because, if a witness is examined, he is immediately identified as a suspect and detained.
“It becomes warning for anyone ‘if someone is examined by a witness at the AGO, he can immediately be a suspect, be detained, and not go home’,” he said.
Previously, the former Governor of South Sumatra (South Sumatra) Alex Noerdin appointed as a suspect by the Attorney General’s Office investigators. Alex was also immediately detained at the KPK branch of the Cipinang Rutan. Alex was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the purchase of natural gas by the BUMD of the South Sumatra Regional Mining and Energy Company (PDPDE) in 2010-2019.

Alex was immediately detained for the next 20 days at the KPK branch of the Cipinang detention center, while the other suspect, Muddai Madang alias MM, was detained at the AGO branch of the Salemba detention center. In this case, Alex as the former Governor of South Sumatra is said to have played a role in approving the cooperation to purchase natural gas between PT PDPE and DKLN to form PT PDPDE Gas.
“Suspect AN (Alex Noerdin) at that time as Governor of South Sumatra for the 2008-2013 and 2013-2018 periods, who requested the state’s share of gas allocation from BP Migas for PDPDE South Sumatra. This suspect AN approved the cooperation between PT PDPDE and PT DKLN formed PT PDPDE Gas with the intention of using South Sumatra’s PDPDE to get the state’s share of gas allocation,” he said.
