“Hertz on Track to Transition to 340,000 Electric Cars in 2027”

The autonomous company Hertz is one of the most active in the transition to electric cars – the data provided by Hertz show that at the end of the first quarter of 2023, the company’s car fleet had 50 thousand electric cars worldwide, which is 10 percent of the total Hertz car fleet in the world.

It is expected that the number of electric cars in Hertz’s inventory will continue to grow rapidly in the near future, as the company has ordered cars from Tesla, Polestar and also General Motors, adding these cars to the Hertz rental fleet in the foreseeable future. It is publicly known that 65,000 Polestar cars and another 175,000 electric cars from brands under the umbrella of General Motors have been ordered.

If all manufacturers are able to fulfill their promises, around 2027, the Hertz fleet should have around 340,000 electric cars. In the first three months of this year, Hertz’s revenue reached $2 billion and the rental company is seeing growth in all sectors. Forecasts show that electric cars will be rented approximately 2 million times this year.
