According to the British Sky News network, Cynthia Kelly from the US state of Florida says that she bought the candy because she liked its “artistic design.”
She adds that she was impressed by the “cute eyes and mouth that appear on the peanut butter candy,” inspired by the Halloween symbol, which prompted her to buy it for $4.49.
She highlighted that “after she opened the wrapper, she did not find any Halloween features or any engravings at all” on the chocolate.
In her lawsuit, Kelly accused the American company of “misleading,” demanding compensation worth no less than $5 million, or 1.1 million peanut butter candy bars.
“Many consumers have been deceived and misled by the images on product packaging,” the lawsuit states.
She adds that it is not just Halloween candy, but also another football-themed product, which does not contain what the packaging shows.
