On Monday, cyclists had a holiday, but on Tuesday, a 190.7-kilometer section had to be measured with one fourth-category ascent.

Already the third victory in the stage was celebrated by the British legend Cavendish (“Deceuninck – Quick Step”), who finished in a group of more than 70 cyclists.

The second place was won by the Belgian Vouts van Arts (“Jumbo-Visma”) and the third was his compatriot Jaspers Filipsens (“Alpecin-Fenix”).

Skujiņš also reached the finish in the group, which lost three minutes and 46 seconds to the leader. He was ranked 103rd.

Belgian Edward Tens finished highest in the “Trek-Segafredo” team, finishing in 13th place.

30 kilometers to the finish, the peleton was well stretched, but after 15 kilometers, the cyclists rode shoulder to shoulder again. 3.7 kilometers before the finish, the leading group included five “Deceuninck – Quick Step” cyclists, including Cavendish. In the last kilometer, Cavendis fought with the Slovak Peter Sagan (“Bora-hangrohe”), being able to pull out in front and be the first to finish.

During his bright career, Cavendish has already won 154 competitions.

Slovenia’s Tadej Pogachar (UAE) is still the leader, with Australian Ben O’Konor (“AG2R Citroen”) losing two minutes and one second, but Colombian Rigoverto Urans (“EF Education – Nippo”) losing five minutes and 18 seconds.

The herringbone loses one hour, nine minutes and 15 seconds to the leader, taking the 63rd position. After the tenth stage, he rose one place higher.

In stage 11, cyclists will be greeted by a 198.9-kilometer-long mountain section, which includes two ascents of the first and one ascent of the highest category, as well as two ascents of the fourth category.

The Tour de France will end on July 18 with a finish in the Champs Elysées. Six days after the final stage of the “Tour de France”, the cycling competition for the Tokyo Olympic Games will begin, so the multi-day trip has been postponed to a slightly earlier time this year.
