The man whose full name is Ashraful Alom Saeed or known as Hero Alom may never have thought that he could become as famous as he is now. Having a career of up to a dozen years in the entertainment industry, his figure has become the most popular man in Bangladesh to India.
In fact, many media say that the search for Hero Alom in India beats the Bollywood megastar, Salman Khan. This shows that the public is so thirsty for his phenomenal figure in cyberspace.
So what is the profile of the actor, producer, director and singer?
Born in Bogra, Bangladesh on January 20, 1985, Hero Alom grew up with a family who adopted him as his father had no money to pay off his debts.
His childhood and youth were spent working, starting from selling CDs, DVDs to being a cable TV installer.
His penchant for seeing social media such as Facebook and YouTube also made him tempted to create content and become a celebrity. He finally tried out by creating video clips of several well-known songs.
Who would have thought if this passion actually bears sweet but bitter fruit. Alom has grown to become an icon on social media with millions of memes featuring his photos and bullying for his physical appearance and content.
Everything just made him even more excited to create content until finally the haters turned to love him. Almost all of Bangladesh idolizes him to the point of giving him the nickname Hero, as the title of his film, Hero Alom.
He transformed into what many people dream of, starting from the bottom to reap success with his own sweat.
Previously he was invited to appear in a film titled Mar Chokka (2017) where he co-starred with top Bangladeshi stars such as Omar Sani to Sadek Bachchu.
His figure is even crazed by Bangladeshi women, both ordinary citizens and celebrities. Everyone was scrambling to meet and take pictures with the country’s most famous man.
Unlike other celebrities, Hero Alom rarely defends himself from the ridicule of haters. He was even teased in a television interview for using the Bogra dialect which is considered ‘village’, but he did not get angry or retaliate.
However, there is no ivory that is not cracked, Hero Alom was stumbled upon a case of domestic violence in 2019. At that time his wife, Sadia Akter Sumi, admitted that she was the victim of a beating at their residence and had to be rushed to the hospital.
His father-in-law, Saiful Alam, also reported the matter to the police and Hero Alom was summoned and detained before being released after paying a fine of Rp. 33 million.
