Hernán Moya qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games – 2024-05-07 20:09:40

Absolute happiness for Hernán “Nano” Moya. The paracyclist from San Fernando achieved, over the weekend, his qualification for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, after scoring good times in the World Cup in Belgium.

The Colchagüino achieved 23rd place in the time trial of this event, and finished in the same place in the Gran Fondo, establishing himself among the best in the world. In the instance, Benjamín Ruarte and Sebastián Morales from Rancagüino also competed.

“I am happy, excited, to be the first paracyclist to represent Chile in the biggest event in world sport,” said Moya, once his participation in the World Cup was over.

Likewise, he stressed that facing Paris 2024, “we have great expectations, we have months of preparation left and we want to arrive with the best sporting performance,” and that all that remains is “to thank the Paralympic Committee and all the people who have supported me in this nice process.”

It should be noted that, at the moment, Team ParaChile has twelve athletes qualified for the games. This roster is made up of: Tamara Leonelli (for table tennis), Luis Flores (for table tennis), Florencia Pérez (for table tennis), Maximiliano Rodríguez (for table tennis), Ignacio Torres (for table tennis) , Alberto Abarza (for swimming), Vicente Almonacid (for swimming), Francisca Mardones (for athletics), Katherinne Wollermann (for canoeing), Constanza Fuentes (for taekwondo) and Moya.
