Herjun Atna Firdaus Reveals Secrets behind Back-to-Back Championship Wins in ARRC 2023

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) racer Herjun Atna Firdaus revealed the secret behind his success in winning the championship podium back-to-back Of race 1 and 2 of the AP250 class in the fourth series of the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).

Rider from Pati, he thinks he can perform optimally because he is quite familiar with the conditions of the Mandalika Circuit. It’s understandable, Herjun has indeed tried the race track that is Indonesia’s pride when participating in the national championship some time ago.

“Yesterday before this (ARRC), (I) had competed in the National Championship here (at the Mandalika Circuit) with the same motorbike, the same cc, that was also an adjustment,” said Herjun when met by media crew after race 2 of ARRC Mandalika 2023, Sunday ( 13/8/2023).

“Then after the championship, there is also training here with the team. So you are more familiar with the circuit,” he continued rider who has always won the leading position since the ARRC Mandalika 2023 AP250 qualification.

For information, Herjun was actually thrown from first position, even though he started the second race from pole position. He was evicted to fifth place and was replaced by his compatriot and team mate Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa, who took turns leading the race.

However, entering lap 5, Herjun was able to get up again and smother his rivals to finish as champion, followed by two other Indonesian racers, Rheza Danica Ahrens (AHRT) and Irfan Ardiansyah (Motul Sniper Manual Tech).
