Here’s What To Do If An AEFI Reaction Occurs After Vaccination

JAKARTA – Adverse Events After Immunization or AEFI is a medical symptom, occurring after vaccination and suspected to be related to the immunization and vaccination.

These medical symptoms are generally temporary and mild and will go away on their own without treatment such as pain, swelling, and redness at the injection site or fever, headache, tiredness or unwell.

1. If the body reacts with AEFI after vaccination, please remain calm.

2. If there is a reaction to pain, swelling, and redness at the injection site, immediately compress with cold water.

3. If you have a fever, compress or take a warm bath, drink plenty of water and rest, then take medicine if necessary.

4. Report all reactions or complaints experienced and immediately convey to the officer or health care facility.
