Here’s Motorola’s shockproof Defy smartphone

It has IP68 protection and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

Motorola has announced this year that it is partnering with the British Bullitt Group, which specializes in impact-resistant mobiles. The first fruit of this is the now debut Motorola Defy (2021). This is the first Defy mobile since 2012, plus it’s shockproof with similar hardware to the Moto G9 Play.

The 6.5-inch HD + display is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass, and its water drop-shaped cutout features an 8-megapixel self-contained camera. The impact-resistant plastic housing promises IP68 water protection, and the mobile stays functional at -25 and plus 55 degrees Celsius. It can withstand shocks from a height of 1.8 meters.

A 48-megapixel camera is on the back, and the 2-megapixel macro unit and depth sensor are more of an ornament. The Snapdragon 662 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, as well as a 5,000mAh battery and 20watt charge. In Europe, the new long-distance phone costs 325 euros.
