Megan and Harry were finally afraid to show the little charmer Lilibet to the world – she turned one on Saturday and the photos were taken at her birthday party at their home “Frogmore Cottage” in Windsor.
The footage of the Duke’s daughter and the Duchess of Sussex was taken by Nigerian-born British photographer Misan Harriman.
“It was a great privilege to celebrate Lilibet’s first birthday with my family and hers! Joy and painted children’s faces everywhere“Harriman said on Instagram.
In addition to Lilibet’s main color portrait, he released a black-and-white photo of Megan holding the birthday girl in the company of his wife and children.
“Vogue” wrote that it said that close relatives and friends were at the celebration, which they describe as “intimate and casual picnic in the backyard“.
Lilibet, named after the childhood nickname of Elizabeth II, is also named after her grandmother Diana. She is surprisingly similar to her father – with a red hair and the same eyes. As is well known, Megan is of mixed descent – her mother Doria is African-American, but so far these genes are not found in their heirs with Harry. Megan’s father is of Irish and Dutch descent.
Acquaintances praised little Archie for growing up and having the manners of a real gentleman. Among the more prominent guests at the party were Zara Phillips, Harry’s cousin, his aunt Anne, her husband May Tyndall and their children. Kate and William’s rather energetic children, according to the photos taken during the celebrations, did not attend their cousin’s party, which is unfortunate because they would go crazy. Harry invited his brother and his family, but they did not accept the invitation. According to some, William is afraid to see his younger brother, so as not to start another dose of rumors about their relationship. According to others, he had official duties the same day and that stopped him. Uncle William and Aunt Kate greeted each other on Twitter, congratulating Lilibet on her birthday. Grandpa Charles and his wife Camilla did the same.
Sky News reports that Lilibeth’s birthday cake was made by Claire Ptak of Violet Bakery in East London, who also made her parents’ wedding cake.
Harry and Megan arrived with Archie and Lilibet last week in the UK for the Queen’s anniversary celebrations.
They were at the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, but were housed far away from William and Kate, Prince Charles and other relatives.
