TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. WhatsApp’s popularity cannot be separated from the various unique and useful features it offers.
One of the features of WhatsApp is that it allows users to still be able to send messages even though they are in a state of emergency offline or without internet. However, this feature cannot be understood as it is because after all sending messages in WhatsApp still requires an internet connection.
Quoted from the page Techboutwhenever the internet connection is interrupted while you are using WhatsApp, you can continue typing your message and press the send button after finishing your message.
When you press the send button when there is no internet connection, the message doesn’t actually leave your phone. WhatsApp messages stay on your Phone and are automatically sent to your Contacts when you reconnect to the internet.
The advantage of this WhatsApp feature is that you can send your messages even if the internet connection is lost and you don’t need to resend messages again. WhatsApp will send it automatically when you reconnect.
Besides, WhatsApp also launched a multi-device feature that allows users to use the app without connecting to a mobile phone. Basically, this feature allows you to use WhatsApp on your computer, laptop, tablet, or other device without having an active internet connection on your phone.
Users can only add up to four devices, which can be used independently. When a user adds a new device, WhatsApp Web users may take some time to sync messages and media sent and received on the primary mobile device.
However, once the device is connected, it will fully send and receive message on an active internet connection. WhatsApp also confirms that the multi-device feature supports end-to-end encryption so that all chats made through it will be secure.
