Quoted from the Daily Record, the Department of Surgery at the University of California said that complications of high cholesterol levels can wake sufferers at night with pain in the legs.
One sign of high cholesterol levels is Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI). CLI itself is a blockage of blood in the arteries that can reduce blood flow to the extremities (hands and feet) and has reached the point of severe pain and can cause injury.
Pain in the legs is also known as ‘Rest Pain’. Usually, the pain can be relieved temporarily by hanging the leg over the bed or getting up and walking.

The NHS explains that people with high cholesterol are advised to make dietary changes. In this case, one of them can be done by replacing foods high in saturated fat with foods low in saturated fat.
