One of the great new features of iOS 18 is undoubtedly the possibility of customizing the Control Center. Although it comes with a default view, it can be modified and adjusted according to our preferences. This opens up a world of possibilities, including finding the same Control Center as the one launched with iOS 7during its introduction.
If you’ve been using iOS for a while, you’ll remember that theControl center was originally completely different. It was accessed from the bottom of the screen with a swipe up gesture, and it offered connection controls, brightness adjustments, music playback, two midrange controls and four bottom shortcuts. With iOS 18it is possible to reproduce this iconic design.
How to get the Control center original on the iPhone
To find theControl center original on your iPhone, just take advantage of the new feature ofiOS 18. It will be even better with iOS 18.1which will add new features, such as access via the Bouton d’Action and new controls, such as that of Wi-Fiwhich will improve the experience. However, it is possible to customize it from the current version ofiOS 18.
All you have to do is customize the Control center : eliminate all controls and start configuring it from scratch. First of all, add the bottom four controlswhich can be those of the original or those that you prefer, ensuring that they are practical and useful for you.
Then place two mid controls above. In the original version, it was AirDrop and of Duplicate Screenbut since the first is not available and the second is less useful, it is better to choose other controls that you use frequently. For example, you can opt for modes de concentration if you use them often, like I do myself.
Finally, add the medium size music player and, above, the small connection controls: airplane mode, Wi-Fi (which will be available in iOS 18.1), Bluetooth and screen orientation. It seems incredible that it has already been more than a decade since the introduction of Control center. As Apple would say, time flies.
