It looks like our prayers have finally been answered as we can now change our horrible Snapchat users that we brought up when we were clearly too young to have the app. Millions of us have been waiting for this moment for years and years and now the day has finally come, so here’s exactly how to change your Snapchat username and get rid of your eighth grade alter ego once and for all:

Follow these steps below and change your Snapchat username:
So basically Australians already have the update but we are still waiting for it in UK. However, if you’re really desperate to get rid of your old one, here’s how you can change your Snapchat username if you’re not in Australia.
1. Download VPN and select your country as Australia
2. Go to your App Store or Play Store and update the app
3. Once the update is complete, open Snapchat and click into your profile
4. Click on the small cog at the top right
5. Click on the username, modify it, then press “OK”

If these steps don’t work, you can also change your Apple ID country, which will allow you to change your username. Here’s how to do it:
1. Click on your App Store profile
2. Select your Apple ID
3. Navigate to the country and region and click Australia
4. Fill in the categories then press “ok”
5. Take advantage of your new identity and let go of your embarrassing old self.
Snapchat has not confirmed that the update will be for everyone
At this time, there hasn’t been any sort of official statement regarding the new update. But given the reaction that people can change their usernames, we can hope and pray that the app will change the settings for everyone across the world.
