Here’s How to Avoid Kidney Damage

QUEENSLAND – The kidneys are one of the organs in the human body whose function is very vital. One of them, the kidneys function as a filter for impurities in the blood.

The kidneys also help balance fluids in the body. Not only that, but other functions are forming urine and helping other organs function.

That is why its function is so vital for human survival. However, for certain reasons, kidney function can be degraded. Even suffered damage.

Well, according to a study in Australia, one way that can be taken is to make lifestyle changes, before it’s too late.

“According to our findings, lifestyle is very important,” said Dr Jaimon Kelly as quoted by Science Daily.

“By following some recommendations (experts), people can reduce the risk of developing chronic kidney disease (in later life),” added the researcher from Griffith University.

The lifestyle changes referred to here are consuming more vegetables, exercising regularly, avoiding alcohol, reducing consumption of salty foods, and quitting smoking.

By following the recommendations above, he continued, can reduce the risk of kidney damage between 14 and 22 percent. (call / fin)
