In reality, to ask for exemption from the RAI fee there is a question that needs to be asked, but there are some stakes to present it and therefore it is appropriate to analyze it in more detail.

How to stop paying for it

To request exemption from the RAI fee, in fact, there is a need to declare that you do not have televisions at home, but also computers. In fact, if you have even just a computer, strangely enough, you are still required to pay the public TV license fee. But there are also stakes from a temporal point of view. In fact, the application for exemption from the RAI fee must be submitted by January 31 of each year. Consequently, theoretically for this 2022 you would have to pay by force and there is no longer the possibility of exemption.

But in reality this is not the case because there is a second useful date to ask for the exemption from the RAI license fee and it is June 30th. Anyone who applies by June 30 will be exempt for the second semester of the year. However, it is important to be careful because making a false declaration can cost heavy penalties. In fact, anyone who requests the exemption from the RAI license fee is making precise declarations and these must correspond to the truth.
