How big is the PS5? A lot when compared to the PS4 models and even compared to the Xbox Series X, Microsoft’s next top-of-the-range console. Horizontally, however, the Xbox Series X has a greater height, albeit in the context of greater compactness.
The comparison with PS4 and PS4 Pro
You don’t have to go around it: PS5 is much bigger than PS4 and PS4 Pro both when placed vertically and horizontally.
In fact, horizontally PS5 is almost as tall as PS4 and PS4 Pro combined. The unusual shapes of PS5, with the two slightly curved side parts, increase the perception of a much higher volume than previous models.
Comparison with Xbox Series X
Compared to Xbox Series X, PS5 is obviously defeated. Xbox Series X is designed to stand vertically (as you can guess from the position of the fan). The gap is clear.
Looking at them horizontally, the comparison is less merciless: PS5 is longer, but in height it is exceeded, in this case, by the Microsoft console.
