Despite the fact that the date of the official start of mass production of the futuristic pickup truck Tesla Cybertruck is constantly postponed, the interest in the original electric car of the future is not diminishing.
The next part of the official information about the fate of Tesla Cybertruck will most likely be announced at the upcoming press conference of Elon Musk on January 26, where the entrepreneur will talk about the results of Tesla’s financial activities for the past 2021.
On the eve of the event, insiders released a video with the updated design of the electric pickup. At the Tesla Cybertruck Forum & Owners Club, where the materials first appeared, it is speculated that the Tesla Cybertruck model shown could become a pre-production version of the car.
Compared to the first presentation in November 2019, the updated Tesla Cybertruck pickup has lost its original wheel covers, received increased bumper, modified fender arches and new sills. The new model has exterior side mirrors, a large “wiper” on the windshield and a whole headlight.
Earlier in December last year, the Chilean company Chile Al100 showed a video of the Cybertruck test in Fremont. Even then, some changes in the design of the pickup could be noticed. Elon Musk explained in December that the innovations were due to the requirements of regulators who control road safety.
To date, the official start of production of Cybertruck has been postponed to the end of 2022. However, according to Reuters, a more realistic date for the launch of the pickup may be the beginning of next 2023. According to unofficial information, more than a million fans of Tesla has already ordered Cybertruck.
At the same time, 48% of the orders fall on the modification with two electric motors, and 44.5% – on the model with three motors. Earlier, Musk confirmed information about the future model Tesla Cybertruck with 4 engines.
