Here is the electric Alfa Romeo Giulia for the Pure ETCR

Here is finally unveiled the Alfa Romeo Giulia that will compete in the Pure ETCR electric championship. L’Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR by Romeo Ferraris was presented during the MotorLand Aragón where a promotional event of the new championship was planned. To remove the veils from this special car for the track were Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager and the pilot Jean-Karl Vernay. The car sports a specific livery that recalls the successes in motorsports of the Milanese team born in 1959.

The Giulia is the third car designed specifically for ETCR to be unveiled after the CUPRA e-Racer and the Hyundai Veloster N ETCR. From a technical point of view, we know that the powertrain will be able to deliver a peak power of 500 kW (670 hp). The battery pack, as required by the regulation, will be built dalla Williams Advanced Engineering (65 kWh). The Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR by Romeo Ferraris will compete in the 2021 championship consisting of 6 events, 4 of which in Europe. The car project, please note, it’s all private. An ambitious challenge on which the Opera team has been working for a year with the aim of bringing the Alfa brand to excel in electric competitions. On the presentation of the electric Giulia, Michela Cerruti stated:

We are very happy to launch this new project, born from the hard work started a year ago, when we decided to embark on this new journey that marks our debut in the world of electric car racing. Aragón will be an important event for us because we will officially launch this new program, which adds to the many carried out by Romeo Ferraris, such as the Fat Five, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR and the introduction of the Morgan brand to our portfolio. All these projects confirm the growth of our company despite the difficulties faced in a difficult year like 2020.
