The heiress returns from America at a difficult time for her husband Vittorio, closer than ever to the sister-in-law Beatrice, with whom he shares his apartment together with his nephew Vittorio. The return of Marta to Il Paradiso delle Signore happens unexpectedly. In fact, Vittorio Guarnieri’s daughter returns earlier than expected, surprising everyone. Marta immediately makes the acquaintance of the relatives of her husband whom she never got to know. With Pietro a great understanding and complicity was born immediately. Umberto e Adelaideinstead, they decide not to tell Marta anything about Federico’s paternity.
A secret that for the moment seems willing to keep Vittorio as well, well aware of the link between Marta and Federico. The two have always had a good relationship and knowing the truth could alienate Marta from her family. Meanwhile also Beatrice meets Marta but he doesn’t seem to establish a good feeling with his sister-in-law, unlike his son Pietro.
Beatrice is worried about forced coexistence and does not hesitate to confide it to Vittorio, with whom she has found a certain intimacy. Meantime Marta discovers something of Vittorio and Beatrice’s past. A past completely unknown to Marta and which disturbs her not a little. But despite the past between her husband and sister-in-law Marta is pleasantly surprised by Beatrice’s way of working.
In the new episodes of The Paradise of the Ladies Marta asks Beatrice to take the place of Luciano Cattaneo, escaped from Milan to protect Clelia and the child they are expecting. A role, that of the accountant of the department store, which certainly makes Beatrice proud, but she does not consider herself up to the task.
