One exchange dedicated to young people who live in disadvantaged areas of Europe to delve deeper into the themes of ecotourism, ecology and circular economy. AND “Rural land“, the cultural exchange that is part of the program Erasmus Plus and will take place in Tortorellafrom today to April 28, 2024. The initiative is organized by Cilento Youth Union with the collaborative support of Municipality of Tortorellaand is financed by the Erasmus Plus youth sector programme.
The main objective of Ruraland is to create a path of professional and personal growth for young people who live in disadvantaged areas through non-formal learning actions, exchange of good practices in the field ofyouth entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. Replicating the residential model experimented several times by CYU in Cilentothe project aims to give young people new visions for creating new jobs, for example in the emerging sectors of sustainable tourism, circular economy and ecology.
They have arrived in Tortorella 30 young people, over two tutors, aged between 24 and 30 from five European countries: Italy, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and Portugal. They will have access to resources, tools and mentors that will help them change the prospective vision of how to live in internal areas. An opportunity to acquire new skills, but also to live a unique intercultural experience, to discover the culture, tradition and scenic beauty of the Cilento. It will be important, during the project, to encourage self-entrepreneurship through dialogue with young entrepreneurs that the children will meet during the training course.
