A new Monster Hunter game is on the horizon. We got our first glimpse of that during The Game Awards last Friday night.
The game is called Monster Hunter Wilds, and will arrive sometime in 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said on stage at the awards ceremony that Capcom will release more information about the game in 2024.
Monster Hunter Wilds seems to be bringing in some elements and a new ecosystem that differs slightly from previous games. There seems to be a focus on sandy areas, and weather forces such as lightning this time.
The Monster Hunter series actually turns 20 years old in 2024. The first game came to the PlayStation 2, and since then there have been a number of games in the series.
The high point in terms of sales has been Monster Hunter World, which has sold over 19 million copies after it was released in 2018.
