I current accounts may be subject to foreclosures in cases of default. This is in fact a kind of unwritten law inherent to this issue which, however, in some way every individual knows.

Just deposit a small amount to trigger the procedure (every month the bank withdraws a sum as a commission). Of course, however, we need to analyze the situation in detail to understand in which situations we need to keep our guard higher.

At the same time, however, there are some exceptions that make it possible to make current accounts unassailable. Let’s see what they are and when they can be implemented.

It should be noted that also a PayPal account or a foreign account are subject to the credit recovery (even if longer times are foreseen which often lead creditors to waive), as well as the credit cards and payment cards in general (even without Iban).

By virtue of this, what are the exceptions that keep taxpayers’ accounts safe? In practice they are those situations in which it is impossible to carry out this operation, such as the account in red.

Even the sums deposited in the entrusted accounts cannot be foreclosed (the credit line constitutes a loan, it is not the account holder ‘s money) and those accredited for the treatment of the disabled.

Those jointly held are instead foreclosable in half since the other half is about another person. On the accounts where the salary or pension is credited, the foreclosure is triggered only beyond the threshold of the triple social allowance (just under 1,500 euros).

In short, there are not many “loopholes”. The ideal is to always keep the debt situation under control in order to avoid running into unpleasant situations, which could lead to the account being drained due to debts.

To this it must be added that theRevenue Agency has returned to play the charge and has no intention of letting this kind of situation pass.
