The main reason Prince Harry and Megan Markle left the royal court and settled overseas was the massive attack on them and especially on the former actress by the media. No less hatred was poured against her on social networks, and the couple repeatedly called for better regulation on the Internet.
There is less talk about Megan now, simply because she rarely appears in the media. But social media users always have one topic or another to discuss with the Duchess of Sussex. And, it turns out, some have managed to monetize the negative attitudes towards her.
According to a report by the Bot Sentinel platform, 25 YouTube channels have earned a total of three and a half million dollars in advertising thanks to their videos filled with hatred against Megan Markle. The three “most successful” accounts for this purpose have collected about 494,729 dollars for the period of its existence.
Even more impressive is that the 25 channels, which contain content related to the Duchess of Sussex, hate speech and conspiracy theories about her, generated a total of 497.5 million views. Those in the top three have a total of over 70 million views, Newsweek reports, quoted by lifestyle.bg.
Some of the most watched videos speak of a distant relationship between Megan and Dodi al-Fayed, while others attribute supernatural abilities to Prince Harry’s wife. Or it is said to be part of a dangerous secret organization that aims to destroy the monarchy.
Other conspiracy theories say Megan faked her first pregnancy. And in conclusion, we can add that not only racial hatred, but also the desire for profit are the main drivers of the massive campaign against the Duchess of Sussex in recent years. And obviously at this point there is nothing to stop her.
