The number of people willing to invite Russian pop stars to sing at corporate New Year’s parties to send off in 2021 has decreased many times. Along with a drop in demand due to the coronavirus pandemic, experts also found a significant reduction in the amount of the singers’ fees.
“Literally a few days ago I talked to one of the top artists. He sadly admitted that only 3 performances are planned for the whole of December, but they have not been confirmed yet. Only 2 years ago he had nearly 80 performances per month. Calculate the difference yourself, “says one of the leading organizers of concerts, tours and corporate parties Sergei Lavrov.
Another promoter notes that richer companies, which are still interested in inviting pop greats to their celebrations, show a conservative taste: they rely on the same circle of stars from the “first echelon”: Philip Kirkorov, Nikolai Baskov, Grigory Leps. The amount of the fee was influenced not only by the scale and price lists of the singers themselves, but also by the date of the event: the closer it is to December 31, the more expensive it is.
The ProStars concert agency explains that the standard duration of the stars’ performances during corporate New Year’s parties is 45-60 minutes. According to ProStars for December 2021, one of the most expensive performers is Grigory Leps, whose fee amounts to 12 million rubles (1 million Russian rubles is about 23-24 000 Bulgarian levs). Even the diva of the Russian stage Alla Pugacheva is cheaper for the companies – her fee is in the range of 8-10 million rubles. For a private concert of the rapper Morgenstern, they have to shell out 7 million, and Dima Bilan – the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, can be invited for 2-3 million rubles.
