Here is how much a domestic photovoltaic system costs with crazy discounts and discounts 2022

Installing a domestic photovoltaic system today is very convenient also thanks to the government incentives.

Among other things, returning to the various bonuses for maintenance and energy efficiency of the properties enjoy tax discounts.

Often, however, what holds back from installing photovoltaic panels are purely aesthetic reasons. This is why the solar roof tiles a winning solution against high bills and landscaping constraints.

Domestic photovoltaics: costs and estimates

Considering that the home photovoltaic system is an important economic investment, it would be useful to know the options and estimate the costs.

First of all, please note that the government provides incentives for the installation of a photovoltaic system. the personal income tax deductions can be of:

  • 50% with the restructuring bonus;
  • 110% with the Superbonus;
  • 65% with the Ecobonus.

The first two deductions must be included as driving works within the recovery of the property. The latter, on the other hand, can be used to replace winter air conditioning systems.

Instead, an example could be useful to estimate the family’s energy needs. Let’s assume we have a family of 4 people who use household appliances and PCs with a power of 3 kilowatts (kW). The power may increase with the use of an air conditioner or other technological devices. Sometimes the use of an electric stove or a boiler with the heat pump the power reaches 6 kilowatts.

In short, the estimate of the household needs derives from the verification of the actual energy consumption of the most used appliances and measured in kilowatts / hour. In practice, it is necessary to check the power used in an hour of time.

Another important element that affects the purchase is the number of panels to be used. Usually, on average, one square meter of panels is needed for every 10 square meters of surface.

So the family in the previous example would need a number of panels between 9 and 18. This only to use the photovoltaic system for domestic hot water and heating. Therefore, with 12 panels it will be able to obtain 3 kilowatts of power equivalent to an average annual consumption of 3,500 kilowatts.

What is the average cost

The average cost of a plant is 12 thousand euros. Each panel costs an average of 1,500 euros per kilowatt. We must then add: 10% of VAT, the cost of the inverter, installation costs, any maintenance costs. If we take into account the deductions of the various bonuses we can also cover all the expenses for the installation of photovoltaics.

The cost of the system also depends on the type of panel that is purchased. That is, if it is tradition or with storage batteries. In the latter case, the cost is certainly higher even if there is a return on investment. In fact, equip the photovoltaic panels with accumulation system the tax advantage is double in addition to the maxi savings.

In a nutshell, if a traditional 6 kilowatt domestic photovoltaic system could cost around 12 thousand euros, the one with the storage system would cost around 18 thousand euros. Also in this case a family should consider: the costs of installation and maintenance, of the assembly of the heat pump and of the storage battery.
