Djurgården had a disastrous first period and they were down 3-0 when Peter Holland threw the gloves in a fight. Fredrik Styrman received a blow and the newly acquired Holland went on a match penalty.
– He got two real slaps on the head. I can not make a doctor’s statement but he is in hospital now. He does not feel well. It’s not nice. I’ve seen the situation and it’s not okay anywhere, says Stridh.
Djurgården’s questioned coach Barry Smith did not see the situation.
– He was frustrated, we were all. I’m not for a fight, but I did not see the situation. Sometimes North Americans unfortunately forget what happens when you throw in the gloves here, he says.
The helmsman was sent off for two minutes. The match ended 6-4 to Luleå and Djurgården now has seven straight losses.
