Here are the most unhealthy foods on the planet – Hands off!

Everyone has their favorite foods that they crave on a consistent basis, there are people who love sweets, chips or fried foods.

Some of our favorite foods are healthier than others, and some are not entirely healthy and fall under the category of the most harmful foods due to their ingredients, according to a list published by the “Eat this Not That” website.

The most prominent of these foods is bread made of bleached white flour, because it contains bleaching chemicals such as azodicarbonamide, and it is used to make bread dough thin.

Experts noted that there is evidence that azodicarbonamide degrades into a chemical called urethane during the baking process. This chemical is considered a carcinogen, AKA a substance that can lead to cancer.

Fruit juice with added sugar

Fruit juice with added sugar is also considered unhealthy, as it contains added sugars, fruits without fiber, and high fructose corn syrup.

Most of the sweetness in the smoothie comes from fructose, a type of sugar linked to the development of visceral fat tissue in people who are overweight.

Diet soft drinks

In addition, diet soft drinks are also considered unhealthy, as they contain aspartame, an artificial sweetener that was initially developed to aid weight loss, but was recently found to have the opposite effect.

Its side effects include raising glucose levels, burdening the liver, and causing the excess to be converted to fat, according to a study in Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism.

Studies have also found that aspartame is associated with an increased risk of cancer.

fried foods

In parallel, fried foods are considered unhealthy, such as fried chicken.

Aside from their very high fat and calorie content, the main problem with these fried foods is that they contain high levels of inflammatory Advanced Glycation End Products, or AGEs.

These compounds are formed when animal-derived products are cooked at high temperatures for an extended period of time.

Bacon and sausage

In the same context, processed meats, including bacon and sausage, are completely unhealthy foods.

For example, they are usually made with red meat, which is high in saturated fat.




And while red meat alone isn’t bad for you, processed red meat often contains high levels of sodium, as well as additives like nitrates and nitrites.

Research has also shown that nitrites can lead to some types of cancer, and these additives can turn into carcinogenic nitrosamines when exposed to high heat, according to Meat Science.
