In recent years, many well-known faces have emerged from the traditional beauty contest.
The new Miss Turku will be chosen at the end of October.
We are again looking for a new Miss Turku and the finalists have been chosen. The next Miss Turku will be crowned at the Hyvä Olo Expo fair at the Turku Messukeskus on the last weekend of October.
There are familiar finalists from previous years. One of them is Aino Haimilahtiwho is a businessman Toivo “Topi” Sukarin grandchild.
The reigning Miss Turku is Riia Welling.
Marjo Sjöroosin and the competition organized by her model agency Fashion Team dates back to 1989. At that time, the competition was won by Nina Björkfelt. Tanja Karpela, Minna Kuukka, Lola Odusoga, Saija Palin, Ellen Jokikunnas and Jenni Väänänen (née Dahlman) have also taken part in the competition.
