A government with three deputy prime ministers is proposed by the prime minister candidate, prof. Nikolay Gabrovski, who at this moment is handing over the folder with the composition of the cabinet to President Rumen Radev. All three deputy premierships will be filled by women already known in politics.
Malina Krumova, who was deputy prime minister in Ognyan Gerdzhikov’s government, appointed by Rumen Radev in 2017, will be in charge of European funds.
Former Minister of Justice in 2007-2009 Miglena Tacheva will be Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and will be Minister of Justice.
And Meglena Plugchieva, who was also deputy prime minister, is back in charge of European funds and minister of the environment and water.
Here are the other cabinet members proposed by Gabrovski:
Marinela Pirinova Petrova – Minister of Finance. She also has management experience with over 20 years in the Ministry of Finance and three terms as Deputy Minister. You negotiated Bulgaria’s admission to the Eurozone waiting room.
Blagorodna Hristeva Makeva-Naydenova – Minister of Internal Affairs
Atanas Dimitrov Zapryanov – Minister of Defense, served as Deputy Minister of Defense and before that a military career, including Deputy Chief of Staff.
Dragomir Valeriev Zakov – Minister of Foreign Affairs, is a career diplomat, former ambassador of Bulgaria to NATO. He held the position of Minister of Defense in the government of Kiril Petkov.
Martin Ivanov Danovski – Minister of Economy and Industry
Dobromir Prodanov Simidchiev – Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, held the position of Deputy Minister during three governments in 2011-2014.
Proshko Nachev Proshkov – Minister of Transport and Communications, he is a former city councilor in Sofia of the DSB, but left Ivan Kostov’s party.
Sabina Todorova Sabeva – Minister of Labor and Social Policies, she is a doctor, but with great experience in protecting children’s rights.
Blagomir Nikolaev Zdravkov – Minister of Health, is an anesthetist. He is currently the director of the Sofia Children’s Hospital.
Slavcho Tomov Tomov – Minister of Education and Science, is a surgeon, was the rector of the Medical University-Pleven.
Irinei Borisov Konstantinov – Minister of Culture, currently director of Drama Theater Sofia.
Vasil Georgiev Grudev – Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, held this position in Georgi Bliznashki’s office.
Milena Ivanova Stoycheva – Minister of Innovation and Growth
Krasimir Yordanov Simonski – Minister of e-Government
Nikolay Angelov Pavlov – Minister of Energy
Martin Georgiev Zahariev – Minister of Tourism
