From May 11, masks in “general public” fabric, washable and reusable, will be available to all French people. But how do you know if they are effective?
To avoid counterfeits, the government unveiled four certification logos on Monday.

Four round logos, blue and red, will recognize if this “general public” mask has been tested and approved by the government. The logo was declined in four versions according to the durability of the mask: “tested 5 washes”, “tested 10 washes”, “tested 20 washes” and “tested 30 washes”.
Filter masks
The Ministry of the EconomyClarified that a mask washable five times can be used six times, a mask washable ten times can be used eleven times. Note that it is recommended to wash your mask after 4 hours of use.

The mention “guaranteed filtration”, affixed on the logo, certifies that the mask has been validated by the Directorate General of Armaments. To date, 390 prototypes offered by 242 companies have been approved, said Secretary of State Agnès Pannier-Runacher.
