Here are the flagship models Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro

Xiaomi presented new top models 13 and 13 Pro. We’ll start with the flagship 13 pro which offers a 6.73-inch OLED with 1440 x 3200 pixels, 120Hz LTPO, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

On paper, the panel is very similar to its predecessor, but the 13 Pro has slightly higher brightness. The entire screen can reach 1200 nits, while the temporary maximum brightness for HDR, for example, is 1900 nits. The phone has the fastest RAM and storage, as well as Android’s fastest system chip: LPDDR5, UFS 4.0, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The highest memory configuration is 12GB/512GB.

The battery offers 4820mAh and can be fast charged over 120W wired and 50W wirelessly. The battery can also handle 10W reverse wireless charging, so it can charge other Qi-enabled devices. The phone has an IR transmitter, IP68 rating, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The camera setup was created in cooperation with Leica. There are three 50MP cameras on the back. The main camera consists of Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor with f1.6 aperture. The other image sensors are a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as a super wide-angle camera.

Xiaomi 13

The predecessor Xiaomi 12 was a relatively small phone in roughly the same size class as the Galaxy S22 and the Iphone 13. The successor is slightly larger as the panel has increased from 6.28″ to 6.36″. The screen offers OLED, 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

This time the LTPO is missing, i.e. the refresh rate can be dynamically increased and decreased depending on what is shown in the interface, but the screen has the same maximum brightness as the Pro. Another difference is that the battery capacity is 4500mAh, but the battery offers the same fast charging.

The cameras on the back consist of a 50MP main camera, f1.8 aperture and 1/1.56″ sensor size. An upgrade over the Xiaomi 12 is that the manufacturer has implemented a telephoto lens this year, with 10MP, OIS and 3x optical zoom. The last rear camera is a 12MP super wide angle camera.

The Xiaomi 13 is sold in colorful colors, but it is a limited special edition. In China, the entry-level model of the Xiaomi 13 costs the equivalent of SEK 5,930, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro can be had for the equivalent of SEK 7,410. We’ll be back when the duo has launched in Sweden.
