Here are the first cars on their way to Norway

Chinese Xpeng has had a cautious start in Norway. So far, they have only sold one model: the G3 crossover. But now a lot is happening around the brand.

Earlier this summer, Motor Gruppen, which already imports Mitsubishi and Renault to Norway, took control, with a new importer company. It also means a number of new dealers, spread around the country.

Shortly after this became known, Xpeng launched model number two in our market. We are talking about the large sedan P7 which is not a little reminiscent of the Tesla Model S.

In terms of size, the P7 places itself between this and its little brother Model 3. The luggage compartment is 440 liters.

Norway is the first market

Now the customer cars are also on their way. The ship with the first shipment of XPeng P7 has just docked in China. Norway is the first market outside China for P7. So here we are very early.

In China, P7 was launched a year ago. So far, over 40,000 issues have been delivered to Chinese customers.

According to the plan, the first Norwegian customers will get their cars in the fourth quarter.

Here the news broke: Ready for a new importer in Norway

With a starting price of 440,000 kroner, the Xpeng P7 should be able to do well in Norway.

Roof load of 50 kilos

The P7 comes with both rear-wheel drive and 4×4. The former has an estimated range of 530 kilometers (WLTP), while the version with four-wheel drive is estimated at 470 kilometers, calculated according to the same standard.

The battery has technology developed by XPENG and should be optimized for faster charging and high performance. The P7 with four-wheel drive accelerates from 0-100 in 4.5 seconds, while the model with rear-wheel drive spends 6.9 seconds on the same task.

An important detail for Norwegian customers: P7 is prepared for a roof rack with a roof load of 50 kilos.

Starting price of P7: 440,000 kroner

Camouflaged copies of the car have already been tested for several months in Norway. This involves, among other things, checking that the technology works properly under Norwegian conditions.

In total, the P7 is equipped with 31 sensors, of which 14 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors and 5 millimeter wave radars, which detect and capture the surroundings.

The starting price for P7 was announced earlier this summer. It is worth 440,000 kroner. With that, there is also reason to expect that the car will be able to bite well against the competitors here at home.
