Radars are the constant fear and threat for those drivers who push too hard on the accelerator in their quest to reach their destination sooner. Despite the fact that the traffic law requires the Administration to warn of the presence of these devices, the existence of new models and new locations has displaced more than one.

The General Directorate of Traffic installed 58 minirradares days prior to Operation Easter. The SocialDrive application has carried out a study to identify the exact location of these new radars that continue to function on Spanish roads. They are almost imperceptible to the human eye and are very well adapted to their environment to go unnoticed.

Highways and urban sections

The installation of these devices “undetectable“has been carried out especially in highways or urban road areas with a restricted speed of 30km / h. These radars, officially called Velolaser, are very small and unobtrusive, can be easily relocated and can be remotely controlled via 3G or 4G.

The initial investment by the State was 860,310 euros, that is, 14,338 for each device. Despite its high cost, its amortization is assured. With 9,000 serious fines the Administration will have recovered its initial expense. This is the list of its exact location by province. Still, many drivers forget about fixed speed cameras.
