ENSHI, CHINA (The Washington Post): The virus may have infected humans via animals on farms in Enshi, but the evidence is now gone.

This is one of the entrances to the Tenglong cave system in Enshi China’s Hubei province.

In the mountains of Enshi there are hundreds of caves. The most majestic is called Tenglong, flying dragon. It has 60 kilometers of cave corridors and contains a number of types of bats.

Near it are small farms. Before the pandemic, they housed hundreds of thousands of wild animals. These included sneaky cats, badgers and raccoon dogs. According to researchers, these animals can be temporary hosts for viruses that infect humans.
