Plantain helps in blood clotting and wound healing. The freshly picked leaves, washed, wiped with an absorbent towel and crushed, can be used as such: apply wet, directly on wounds, to stop bleeding. If you do not have a fresh plant at hand, use it as a tincture or powder for wounds caused by cuts or scratches. In the case of purulent wounds, you need an infusion obtained as follows: 20 g of dried and crushed leaves in a cup of boiling water, left for 10-15 minutes. Do local washes several times a day.
Arnica tincture
Stimulates peripheral circulation and tissue repair. Make local washes with diluted tincture and apply dressings with a solution of 10-20 ml of tincture diluted in 100 ml of distilled water.
Burst ointment
Prepare a burdock ointment as follows: mix well half a glass of vegetable juice with half a glass of olive oil. Grease the affected areas.
Horsetail washing
For wounds that are difficult to heal, on deep tissue ulcers (fistulas), use horsetail, in washings and baths with concentrated infusion. Then put poultices with scalded plant, wrapped in gauze and applied to the lesion.
Mouse-tail infusion
The plant is a natural hemostatic and is applied on cuts and scratches, after washing and disinfecting beforehand. Use a tincture, prepared as follows: fill a dark bottle with fresh, crushed mousetail flowers without stuffing them. Add 40 degree fruit brandy, leave in the sun for 14 days. Apply the liquid directly to the gauze with which you bandage the wound. You can sprinkle on the painful place and a little plant powder. With the infusion of flowers (maximum three tablespoons per cup) you can take baths or put compresses.
Aloe vera juice
It is used as such, due to the content of vitamins and antioxidants. It can be applied directly to the skin as an ointment. The juice is good against burns and protects the skin. In specialty stores you can also find pure aloe vera gel – opt for the organic version.
