The research company JATO published the ranking of market leaders in the sale of new cars in Europe in April 2022.
The most popular electric car in the Old World turned out to be the electric version of the Fiat 500. This small car became the best-selling in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Five and a half thousand Fiat 500e have found their buyers.
Among crossovers, the Volkswagen T-Roc is in high demand, and the Nissan Qashqai is back in the top ten. The new generation of Kia Sportage has also significantly strengthened its position.
So, the Peugeot 208 became the absolute sales leader in Europe with 15,615 cars sold in April.
Second place goes to the crossover Volkswagen T-Roc with 13,998 cars.

Dacia Sandero is in third place with 12,913 cars sold.
The top five includes the Fiat 500 and Ford Puma with 12,835 and 12,601 vehicles sold, respectively.

In the top ten best-selling models on the European market are Toyota Yaris (12,448), Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (11,834), Toyota Corolla (11,678), Kia Sportage (11,635) and Fiat Panda with 11,544 cars sold.
