This innovative material allows for a full wine bottle to be dangled from a pinky finger, showcasing its strong hold. Unlike traditional adhesives, this product requires just one side, leaves no residue, and boasts the ability to attach and detach at least 120,000 times. "It can stay attached for seconds, minutes, or even years," remarked Kerst in a recent TechCrunch interview.
2. Luna:
Targeting the unique health needs of teenage girls, Luna is a comprehensive health and wellness app allowing users to ask questions and receive expert responses while tracking periods, moods, and skincare. The London-based startup is the brainchild of best friends Jas Schembri-Stothart and Jo Goodall, who conceived this essential tool during their MBA program at Oxford. “Our mission is to educate and support teen girls during a crucial time in their lives,” said Goodall.

Driven by the alarming disparities in breast cancer survival rates in Latin America, founder Valentina Agudelo has set her sights on creating a portable device for early detection. While attending a college entrepreneurship competition six years ago, Agudelo recognized the necessity for accessible diagnostic tools in rural areas. "Breast cancer is treatable when caught early," she emphasized, making it imperative to detect it sooner in underserved regions.
5. Lidar Technology for Investigations:
In light of the devastating fire that engulfed the USS Bonhomme Richard in 2020, innovative uses of lidar (light detection and ranging) technology have emerged. Although silica scans were employed immediately post-incident to assess damage and investigate the cause, their application has been challenging due to logistical limits. This startup aims to advance the technology, marrying innovation with practical investigation solutions.
