Before we present the six winners to you, we would like to give you some more information about your winnings:

Starward: Whiskey from Australia’s capital of pleasure

Starward lies between craft beer and wine bars, a highly acclaimed croissant and fragrant coffee. The appetizing atmosphere in which the urban whiskey distillery is embedded is very typical of your hometown. Melbourne – the pleasure metropolis of Australia. A young and innovative food and bar scene enlivens the city on the south-east coast of the continent. Inspired by her, the Starward Distillery produces a whiskey that is completely new for Australia, which focuses on the pleasure experience, turns its back on conventions – and simply allows everything that pleases and tastes.

Australian premium whiskeys: best to eat with

Starward lives and makes whiskey differently. Unconventional, casual and culinary, the distillery is a child of Melbourne and pleads for the enjoyment of single malt and Co. for a BBQ with friends, with a thriller on the couch, with pizza or banana bread. The main thing is that it tastes good. Freed from tradition, the distillery looks at whiskey through the eyes of brewers and winemakers. It is made exclusively from ingredients from the region. In addition to barley, mainly from only slightly charred or steamed red wine barrels from Australian wineries. Starward Whiskey only needs three to four years in them for its fruity maturity. Responsible for this: the Melbourne climate. Constant changes in weather with an average of up to 22.5 ° C, the “four seasons in a day”, allow distillates to mature in an elementary way – and create a whiskey that cannot be found anywhere else.

Soft, wine-blissful, cosmopolitan: Starward Left-Field

The ideal whiskey, if you ask Starward? Uncomplicated, versatile and, above all, delicious. In short: left field. The single malt matures 100 percent in former red wine barrels made from French oak – for an intense and spicy mouthfeel with delicate wine aromas. The barrels come from the leading Australian wine regions, the Barossa Valley and the Yarra Valley. Burning out some of these “barrels” gives Left-Field additional dimensions. Intense in taste, but soft and accessible, the Australian single malt tastes just as good for beginners and connoisseurs as it is in reinterpretations of classic drinks.

Starward Left-Field will soon be available in German specialist shops. Win one of six bottles of the new Australian single malt now exclusively in advance!

Left-Field, Starward Australian Single Malt Whisky (0,7 Liter, 40% vol.):

  • 100% Australia: Barley from the region, red wine barrels from Australian wineries in the Barossa and Yarra Valley made from French oak
  • full-bodied, light and dark fruit and spicy oak notes
  • accessible and versatile for connoisseurs and newcomers
